"What's my ring size?" - The reason why getting your ring size right is the trickiest of all jewellery type sizes is simply because our finger size changes constantly.

Your ring size could be affected by:

  • gaining weight;
  • losing weight;
  • pregnancy;
  • warmer weather;
  • colder weather;
  • getting older (that's life).

Because of the reasons above most people would have to change their ring size at least 3 times between the ages of 20-70.

Not to worry, here are the options how to play this safe:

Option A. - Print out guide for rings you already own

Simply print out this guide on A4 size paper and ensure that your print settings are at 100% when printing.

If you already own a ring this is the best option to go with, given that your desired ring is not much wider or narrower comparing to the one you already own (e.g. if you own a ring that is 2mm wide and your desired ring is 6mm wide you would need to add at least 1 extra size to the size you currently have and the other way around you would need to go at least 1 size smaller).

Option B. - Visiting a Jewellery store

This could be a good option, but it also can be very misleading if you get an unhelpful assistant who wouldn't care to ask about the width of the ring that you are getting. As I mentioned above it could make a big difference whether the assistant hands you 2mm gauge set or a 6mm gauge set.

In the end of the day in these scenarios the best is if You pay attention to the width of the ring you are getting.
